I am not making much money at my new endeavor (I only taught 1 hour today for a total of $18

) but now that I am not nervous about the technology--that part is pretty easy. The hard part of the job is getting students because there are loads of teachers.
In order to get more students, I plan to redo my profile video. I am not that smooth in front of the camera yet. I ordered a 14 inch pirate puppet from Amazon with a hook hand and a peg leg. I named him Captain Peg. It came just in time. I got my first young student today--only 6 years old.
Most of the students I have been getting are 8-11 years old so I asked what my tags are -- the company picks them based on their impression of you -- my tags were experienced, detail oriented

, and speaking and discussion: I was surprised about the detail oriented tag but, hey I like it

then I asked them to add supportive and topic-oriented.
The student loved the puppet much more than me.

Frequently, when Captain Peg was gone, she asked, "Where is the puppet?" I had the puppet be the one who handed out her rewards. She kept giving the puppet rewards (mostly food--she described all the rewards in English.) I am not charismatic in front of the camera but Captain Peg IS.
