I got the long acting shot of Haldol but I still have to take it orally for a few weeks. Of course there was a problem at the pharmacy and I can't get the Haldol til tomorrow and the Klonopin until I get prior authorization (which could take days but I already called the hospital hoping to speed up the process). I'm half expecting my psychosis to come back at least a little bit and of course my anxiety is going to be high.
During IP I got very acquainted with the "quiet room" and spent lots of sleepless nights, but I am in a better spot now. I'm still struggling, but I have the ability to fight the urge to hurt/kill myself and others now.
Thank you everyone who tolerated and supported me during this rough patch.

Hey, I'm glad to see you back, spikes! We missed you! I'm glad you're finally home from IP.
Those prior authorization deals are a pain in the butt! I've had to have them for a few past meds, myself.
I can imagine it would be distressing to get even more diagnoses. I hope you won't let the number get to you. It's all a matter or finding the right treatments and getting good therapy. I've had past diagnoses that I managed to get past for the most part (i.e. a couple specific phobias, agoraphobia, persistent anxiety, alcohol abuse). They are all part of my history, but I try to put them "in history" the best that I can, though I know some still could lurk. So far, bipolar disorder is the disorder I still struggle with a bit, but even that's under better control.
P.S. They called those rooms "isolation rooms" where I was IP. I was dragged into them a number of times. I much prefer your hospital's term "quiet room".
