Try combining your DBT skills with Mindfulness. It's the only thing that helps me. And yes, you can have a relapse. I'm in the middle of one myself. Try, when you get upset, to close your eyes and focus on your breath for a few seconds. It'll help bring you back a little bit. There's no easy answer, but I hope this helps a little. My thoughts are with you.
