Sorry to hear about your negative experience today. I don't blame you for wanting to see a new doctor.
We, as patients, have the right to hire and fire doctors at our own will. I have "fired" one of my therapists because he was making random sexual comments when I said nothing sexual at all or even IMPLIED anything sexual. Some people are just not cut out to be doctors or therapists, and that's the sad truth. Even worse, having "many years of experience" is not a good indicator of how talented (or not so talented) a doctor is. I mean, 20 years of experience... Yeah, 20 years of GOOD experience, or 20 years of BAD experience?
I could go on and on, but any doctor who treats you like the way your dr has treated you today
deserves to be fired by you. You are your own best advocate. Do what's right for you and what will make you feel better/comfortable. You need someone who will listen to your concerns and who will do whatever they can (ethically) to help you feel better. Sometimes compromises have to be made and we don't always get 100% of what we want, but not all compromises have to be bad ones.
