Also, I'm sorry to hear about that guy who just wants to bed you. I've had friends who've had great luck with online dating and dating apps, and some friends, not so much. It's very hit or miss, but it can be very rewarding when you find "the one." Not sure what app you're using, but I've had 2 friends in college who had met their now spouses on OKC. One moved to D.C. to live with him, and another is now living in NYC. They're still married from what I can tell. But in truth, they both went through a few "bad apples" before they found "the one." They said their first negative experiences helped them realize what they wanted and helped hem figure out how to navigate dating sites better. So, I hope you are not too down about wasting time with this guy. I'm sure your (negative) experiences with him will help you navigate the future, even if it may not seem that way right now.
