This is going to really age me, but my family's first computer was a Commodore Vic 20, which my brother mostly used. Back then the "internet" was mostly used just by military and educational institutions. We also used it to play games of a very simple nature. Then in highschool (late 1980s), I took a computer applications class. We learned BASIC programming and use of word processing and spreadsheet software. I took something similar at college. I always liked it, but didn't take additional courses in Computer Science, though Computer Science was an "in" major at that time. I forget exactly when the internet of today's sort became accessible.
Q: What were some now antiquated technologies that were new when you were a kid?
