I used to be able to drive everywhere, even after two serious accidents. Slowly, driving anxiety kicked in. It got to a point where I had to avoid freeways, but now driving through the cities terrify me as well. I can get to work run some errands close to home, but that’s it now. Some days are better than others but I pretty much avoid what I fear. I did see a therapist once years ago and it worked for a little while but like a Band-Aid, it fell off. I’ve seen some different books and podcast and such but don’t know where to start. I’ve got to get over this. My husband needed to go to the airport today and I couldn’t take him. He doesn’t understand. I don’t want to have to rely on medications to drive. Any suggestions?
