Thanks Christina and BirdDancer!

I do space my meds out. I have over 12 hours after my night time meds and before I need to function.

I have tried to tolerate this amount of lamotrigine (200mg twice daily)over and over again. I end up going back to 300mg (200mg at night and 100mg in the morning)every time. I am trying again. I am foggy, dizzy, stumbling and am generally messed up. I do not believe this is from changing Seroquel from 50mg to 25 mg. I cannot tolerate the increase in lamotrigine. I do like my pdoc. At the same time, she continues to tell me that I am the only patient who has ever told her that lamotrigine is sedating. And so? What does that mean? Lol. she believes in pushing the dose anyway, hoping the patient will eventually tolerate the dose. In the meantime, I am dizzy, stumbling, stupid, dysfunctional, etc. until 4 or 5pm.

How is this stability?

I did offer to take 300mg at night and stay at 100mg in the morning. She said this is a 12 hour drug and taking the extra at night won't help during the day.

Despite the fact that I am her only patient mentioning sedation from lamotrigine, I am sure that : Anyone can have any side-effect from any medicine at any time! I am quoting my Rheumy.

It is looking like it is best to bring the dose back down until pdoc is back from vacation.
She can then try an extended release formulation if she thinks it will be helpful.

Thanks again, Christina and BirdDancer!
