Does your husband feel like it is his duty to visit his parents? That is how mine puts it. It's a similar situation, although we live much further away from his parents than you do and I think that helps a lot. I try to stay out of their relationship as much as possible. It's so frustrating to see the guilt trips and manipulation from the sidelines but it's his relationship to sort out.
