My mom had a will and I filed probate but I never finalized it. My brother and I spilt up the assets which we got hold of via the court order that we were executors and once that was done and I paid the taxes and no one had objected in the 5 year period, I didn't see the point of continuing.

My uncles wife is going into a nursing home and that money is going to be used to support her there. That is kind of a super waste of money as if she needed to be in a nursing home and had no money the state would pay for it.

I also feel like we should have been offered the option of buying the house, which was my grandmom's house, before they sold. Me and my brother probably could have done it.
