Melding your interests with new hobbies is easy stamp and coin collecting ,first day covers ( I collected stamps as a hobby as a kid as I loved learning history and stories behind a stamp ,as I got older I specialized in "Peace" " love" stamps and anything related to a disability from Special Olympics , wheelchairs ,to alcoholism ,drug abuse and MI ,it's pretty cheap hobby and lots of opportunity to go down a rabbit hole of special intrest. Another thing that should come as no surprise by the amount I talk ,I am an amateur radio operator /part 15 micro broadcaster(what the Heck is that ?) I run a low power commercial free stereo radio station for my neighborhood !i bothplay music as well as run a twice a week show doing a deeper dive on a historical event or topic .
