Some probably call it cheating but I just say I modify my game. I have several hacks installs to prevent annoying behaviors such as toddlers playing in toilets and Sims running to see every new object I placed in the house. I also have hacks that get rid of the requirement of friends for careers and make outside plants not require gardening work. I just have to focus on the skill points to advance in careers.
