Hi Franz. Only you know if getting pregnant and moving back East is abnormal. There are many people who are wanting to do the same thing. Are you married? That might answer whether getting pregnant is a rational thought, but then again many single women get pregnant all the time without marriage. Can you afford a kid? Are you well enough right now to be adding an extra responsibility to your life?
Anyway, your tdoc expressed a concern. That is a red flag. So is the sleep issue. Perhaps consider giving your pdoc a ring. They may also know well if your thinking is slightly dysfunctional. If I told my psychiatrist I was trying to get pregnant soon he'd likely hospitalize me. That's meant to be a joke, but actually isn't really.
