I have service-connected mst ptsd. I also was told by the examiner that I may have had dissociative fugue states, since he did not see me having DID, even though I was diagnosed a while back.
I never processed mst. I thought I was not able to talk about it until a psych mentor suggested i go to the va. I feared the va for about 20 years. All this time, homeless at times, and the benefits were there, along with some records that corroborate my story.
I do not feel like a vet tho.
I never deployed or served in combat. I was honorably discharged.
Anyway, I have no idea where this post belongs. It is not combat trauma, but it is military sexual trauma.
The VA also calls it chronic ptsd (not complex).
Thankfully, I do not lose time anymore. But the ptsd remains.
I lost so much.
