@Blknblu ... I'm so sorry to hear you went through that, too. Thank you for your reply.

On a side note: Even if you don't have any documentation, the Vet Center can offer free mental health and social services (e.g., outings with other veterans such as to the movies, sky diving, equine therapy, camping, etc.), which can also help you obtain a service-connected disability rating. Even if you applied before and got a certain rating, you can always reapply, but you'd need documentation from a Vet Ctr. or VA therapist and other clinicians such as psychiatrists, primary care, pulmonary (sleep), gastrointestinal (irritable bowel, which is connected with PTSD and can be considered service-connected, depending), etc. A VA rep can help you with that, and they usually have them at the Vet Centers.

You might already know this, but just in case you didn't.

I knew a fellow vet who was rated around 50% and she reapplied and got it increased to 70%. She didn't have any documentation, but she had medical records outside of the VA to show that she was struggling.
