Hi, ok, this is a bit difficult to explain and I hope someone can make something of my description.

When I was in therapy a couple of years ago, one of the therapists noticed that there's a problem with my reflexes. Apparently there are reflexes that babies have and that usually disappear after a few months. Apparently in my case that didn't happen the way it's supposed to and I still have a reflex (or more) that only babies are supposed to have and somehow it's related to my mental problems.
They did a test with me back then. They made me sit on a chair and then suddenly tilted it back. I breathed in sharply and my arms flew outwards and according to my therapist my eyes were twitching uncontrollably for several seconds. They said that was proof that I still had that reflex.
I don't understand the connection but they told me that it's because of that reflex that I startle easily and have difficulties trusting people.

I want to find out more about this. I am wondering, is this just some pseudoscientific ******** or so I have some kind of neurological disorder or something.
Unfortunately I don't know the name of this condition, if there even is one.

Does anyone here have an idea what I'm talking about and could help me get some information?

Thank you for reading.
Thanks for this!
