I usually get manic every June. It can go on for awhile, as it is sometimes treatment-resistant. Depression tends to start up right about now, but this year, I had a lot of it in September, for some reason. It is always extremely stubborn. We did have an unusually cool summer and leaves were beginning to turn weeks ago, so I wonder about all that. I will have a number of other hypomanic and less severe depressed episodes scattered throughout the year. I'd say I get on average maybe three mixed episodes per year, but there does not appear to be any seasonality to those. I may get psychotic in either manic, mixed, or depressed states. My last time in the hospital was late 2016. Hoping to keep that up.
