It seems that every med I've ever taken has caused me to feel tired. With regard to Lamictal, I'd say that for me, it's one of the more neutral meds as far as sedating or stimulating.
Wild Coyote has an excellent point, too - most meds are dose dependent when it comes to sedating and activating.
