Aww I'm so sorry you've been having a rough time, but as you say of not having fever, I think you might have a bit of 'tourist tummy' instead. Legionaries is uncommon, because if you did have a high fever which is associated with the disease, you really would feel ghastly having a nasty cough, nausea, which you mentioned you don't.

I suggest you buy over-the-counter Imodium at a pharmacist, but ask for Loperamide as it's the generic name and should be cheaper. Follow the instructions on the packet. Loperamide should clear up your diarrhea; it's the most effective treatment.

It is essential, however, that you keep your fluids up because diarrhea can cause your body dehydration. Drink plenty of filtered water at room temperature not chilled, tea but not coffee as it can be a stomach irritant. Add a couple of teaspoons of sugar to your tea to help with your glucose intake (providing you're not diabetic) and if you can eat something light (such as scrambled egg), add a good pinch of salt as it's beneficial.
