Well, the winds have died down. The power is back on. The refrigerator has a bit less produce in it.


Today I actually had an appointment to have my car's brakes taken care of. My FIL was paying for it. So I ended up spending the day with my in-laws. A bit of gardening, harvesting some figs, a walk along the river.

Strangely, I had a couple of moments where sadness washed over me and elicited profound emotion. I don't know why.
