I have a few true friends I can count on no matter what. My husband is my best friend. I put him through a horrible Hell last year and he never faltered for a second. He is really incredible. I am so fortunate to have him in my life. I have two brothers. They are wonderfully different and my friendships are strong with both of them. Their support has been a critical part to my healing. My friends J, E, and K have also stood by me and offered unwavering support. I'd give anything for any of these people.
I am also reminded today that I've become great friends with my Dad. He is over for a visit this weekend and we spent last night playing pool, playing with my kids and laughing together. He and I stayed up after everyone else went to bed and we talked for a long time. He's a wonderful listener and offers me helpful advice and love. He is my father, but I can talk to him just like a best friend. He has seen me at my best and my worst and loves me through all of it.
I also have a friend here I share with often. She's amazingly wise and supportive. We haven't been friends all that long, but I'd like to mention her because she means a lot to me and I appreciate her friendship.
Good thread. It reminds me how blessed I am.
