Since we're talking about humongous flying things, we lived in Venezuela for several years during the 1970s. One "tara bruja" or Black Witch Moth got inside the house. WOW! That moth would have frightened the frits out of me! At the best of times I can't stand moths. "Frits"? Oh, that's my daughter's funny lingo.
But that thing must have been awful to see.
