Besides family and bfs, no. Never had a true friend since 6th grade (11-12 years old) and now I'm 28. Though, I do talk to some people on this forum via text, but I figured you meant people you see face to face.

Long story short, people who I thought were my friends ended up stabbing me in the back, so now I just distance myself from people. I have trust issues because I was stabbed in the back by my 6th grade "friends," my 7th grade "friends," my 9th grade "friends," my college "friends," and my graduate school "friends."

I don't mean to sound cocky, but I know I didn't do anything mean or deserving of being stabbed in the back. The 6th grade and 7th grade friends... The same girl who hated me was friends with both sets of friends and convinced them to stop being friends with me. Then in 9th grade (high school), I got into a verbal fight with some guy who initiated it over the fact I wouldn't give him something he wanted, so he told everyone I was a POS. Then in college, my "friends" just thought it was funny to PRETEND to be my friends because they wanted to mess with someone. And finally, in grad school, they stopped being my friend because of a project we worked on and we disagreed on something trivial.
