I am so sorry. I have had negative effects from accidentally skipping meds, even one dose. Most notably, the major thing I get is poor sleep and very vivid dreams (usually horrible nightmares). Mostly, I think it's not taking the Trazodone that does that, or maybe the Seroquel. But even though I keep waking in the night, it won't occur to me to check my meds box or take a melatonin tablet (pdoc OK'ed it). The next morning, I will notice it.
I just recently had this happen to me. I fell asleep on the couch, woke up 2 hours later, went to bed without taking my night meds. I had a horrible nightmare in which my daughter died. And I felt crappy the entire next day. However, the pdoc started me on lithium recently, and I had missed the night dose of that, along with Seroquel, Trazodone, hydroxyzine, Lamictal (200 mg as well), and buspirone (Buspar), along with the infamous clonazepam (Klonopin).
