I had mine last night. Yes the wires and thing in your nose are terribly uncomfortable. I only got about 5 hours of sleep and was sent home at 7AM and I was scheduled to do the second part of the study. I was up several times during the night. I did have a few episodes while sleeping though and I was told my doctor got what she needed.
