I just handed in my notice at my job (UK).

I wasn't happy and it was going on for months. I couldn't bare with this and decided to draw the line without having found another job.

I now instantly regret it and feel depressed on whether I will find another job soon. I was complaining for months at the job and wanted to do it, but now that I've actually done it, I am constantly thinking "what if I bared with this and didn't care too much". It didn't help that I was actually good at the job and my manager was also happy. It was just too much stress in the end.

Luckily, I managed to save some money throughout to last me for the next 7 months in case I am in-between jobs.

My dad (who lives abroad back home) felt really disappointed when I told him. He just told me that's my decision, but I could sense his disappointment with me. I felt even more depressed and now I am really down that I decided to do this.

Do you think I will be able to find a new job soon? For the record, I quit the job after a year and a half in Finance and also have a UK degree as well (First Class).

Thank you.
