I saw my first battered baby in the pediatric ICU today. He was only 1 years old but had huge bruises on his back, arms, bottom even under his eye. He was still smiley though.

It was nice to see that he was getting extra care from one of the nurses who was carrying him and holding him in her lap.

Does it sound dumb that I want that extra care from you? That I want to feel held and safe.

The not replying to my emails until I called you makes you feel unpredictable, when you'd always at least acknowledged everything.
