I had to quit cold turkey because of Lithium toxicity. I was on 1350mgs daily. Quitting cold turkey was awful and incredibly difficult. It was done with the help of diazepam. I was ‘off’ for about 6 weeks. I’m firmly in the ‘talk to your pdoc’ about your plan so that you can taper off it as safely as possible.
