You know, I actually have vertigo. And this crazy sensation we're referring to is actually quite similar at times to like a mild attack of vertigo. Real vertigo puts me straight to the ground, that's how incapacitating it is. But this heights thing is kinda similar. Hadn't really thought of that--thank you, @lightly toasted!
