The two women I hired both retired and both sent out final letters. I have seen these sorts of letters on other sites and they follow a formula.
They acknowledge the end, say something about it being an honor (whatever the hell that means), give some complements, and wish you well in the future.
It amuses me to see their formulas. I find it interesting when I see the letters (just like these two) that other therapists have sent to their ex-client. I wonder if it a senior class or supervision appointment where they learn it. Or maybe a form book that they use. Have you received a letter of this sort and did it vary from this formula? Not looking for opinions on the ones I received. Just wondering if you got them and if they were in this sort of clearly form letter sort.
