Brian, just breathe. It may go just fine. It is a good sign your wife wants to go to therapy with you.

Sounds like you are worried you have done something "bad" and they will discuss it. None of us is perfect. Move past the "bad." What will you be like today and in the future? If it's any reassurance, my husband came with me for therapy with my male therapist. We survived. My H and T did not have some special telepathy going on because they were both male. What is often hard for clients moving into couples therapy with the same therapist, is that the original client may feel abandoned by the T, because he has to share the T with his spouse. If this is the case for you, mention it to your T next time you have an individual session so you can get some reassurance. It is not uncommon to feel like this. You're doing OK....
And people sitting in the reception area do not look stupid! That's what reception areas are for--sitting.
