From the age of six my childhood was intensely abusive. The details are long and I won't take the time and space to get into them.
I've made this post to check with others who have grown up in an abusive situation. I would like to know if anyone had a mother who told you, in a serious manner, that you had better not go to sleep because she was going to kill you in your sleep, or seriously threatened to kill you?

My mom never said she wanted to kill me, but she did say she resented the day I was born, and I caused all the family problems. I believe she despised me so much, that out of 6 kids, I was the only one that grew up as a ward of the state, and the only one who was not on there will. All my life I gave, and did everything that my mom wanted, just thinking that she would love me even just a little, but that never happened.
