First thing I want to point out. Your Pdoc hasn’t been so great at listening to you, you have yet to find a medication that helps and you can tolerate side effects.
Yes baseline can change so I just don’t understand her giving you her “ opinion” I mean you just haven’t found it yet ....
I would be bothered /mad / upset/ annoyed and well pissed the way she left it.
Few years ago there was a member that kinda had a Pdoc like yours. She had trouble finding the right med(s) anyway she posted a thread about how she just had to “ Accept “ that this was as good as it will get.
Well reading it broke my heart and I was furious. My reply was .....
So you are just going to sit back and allow some idiot to decide what’s “ the best your going to have??? “ I said take your disappointment and turn it into some anger , don’t accept crumbs.... go grab the whole cake !
She disappeared... I wondered for a long while what happened. Just over a year later I got a PM from her out of the blue and she told me that my words brought back her will to fight and she was doing so much better...
So Beth ... I say the same to you. Get mad and prove that bytch wrong !!! She does not control how your life will be... She is a “ tool” just like coping skills , sleep hygiene , mindfulness diet , exercise all the ways that you work to feel better..
Get mad

That is a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing it, Christina!
BethRags, the story Christina told could be yours, as well some day (the eventual positive ending). No one should settle for mixed states. No one! I also can't imagine doctors being resigned to a patient struggling with significant weight gain and metabolic issues. You deserve better, our PC friend!
