A person’s “worthiness” of admission is not solely based on a number (meaning weight) but rather how their body is responding to a pattern of disordered eating. For example, at my lowest weight (your “goal” of 80 pounds) I wasn’t admitted, but monitored on an outpatient basis. When I was finally admitted to the hospital I was around 110 pounds - still a low weight for my 5’7 frame, but not terribly thin. However, I was admitted because of a heart defect that was brought on by years of binging and purging.
This is a dangerous line of thinking you’re on .If you’re waiting for validation you might be waiting a long time and run the risk of killing yourself in the process.
It’s a harsh truth, but one to face sooner rather than later.
