I think in our world now it is more difficult to share emotional and intellectual closeness. It is what some people might say is "uncool".

Personally I am thinking closeness is difficult to find in part because I think many people have a hidden agenda. They do not always say who they really are and what they really are looking for. Or maybe closeness is something that I am not willing to open up to after many losses. I cannot be sure.

But one result of all that is I have had to get to know myself better. And that has made a lot of difference. @CANDC
