Its fine as long as it did not impact on your ability to do the job and any responsibilities. I would expect any professional to not disclose their own issues.
Personally, based on experience I would prefer to have a pdoc and T that wasnt bipolar. Ive been hospitalised with pdocs and Ts and its terrible being with a manic pdoc whos lost the concept of patient/pdoc confidentiality and is blurting out all manner of confidential information.
