Hi  I've been having A1C tests done, a few over the summer. Today's result was 6, so my GP has prescribed Metformin. Over the 7 years I was on Seroquel I gained 147lbs (I started at 110lbs). I finally was able to persuade my pdoc to stop the Seroquel. I am now on Zyprexa. We'll see.
Anyway, I'm here to ask for any experiences with taking Metformin. Doctors never seem to know the truths of medications that patients know.
