Does field study mean you have to talk to actual retired folks? Our city also has senior centers. They would probably attract the positive side.

I don't know if retirement "homes" have a psychologist, but if not, maybe management could shed some light on an approach for you. Also, you might be able to talk to geriatric doctors.
