Your feelings of depression are quite common after being an inpatient. I had an emergency appendectomy Jan 15 with a 10 day hospital stay. (I am Bipolar2 Rapid cycler).... and am STILL in a depressive episode.

The feelings you describe "being taken care of" "no responsibilites is also common. Once you get back into your "home" routine, you will eventually feel better and cope better. I did within a few days of being @ home. I returned to work 4 weeks after the surgery.

I caution you about stopping ALL your meds! This should be supervised by your PDoc...please make an appointment to see him/her ASAP!
