Autistic people, mainly aspergers folks (or DSM autism spectrum disorder level 1), very often have good grades and do well at school. I don't know where you are getting your info bu autism is not a learning disorder and does not negatively affect academic results.

There are more than the average amount of aspies in the university world.

It's not easy to tell if someone has aspergers. Yea, it might be easy to spot someone who is gravely autistic but that is another story.
