In short, I grew up in a very critical environment. I became very rigid and dedicated to perfectionism. I wasn't interested in others being invested in it. I was, initially a perfectionist about everything! It was just too much.

When I was a freshman in college, I had taken some interests/vocational types of testing, which took traits into account. At that time, the number one career suggested to me was : Military Officer.

I had taken the very same tests four years later. After having been away from a criticizing, OCD type of an environment, I was finally "free" and my career codes had changed to that of a psychologist, a guidance counselor, a nursing director. LOL! Quite different.

Over time, I have only relaxed more and more. I no longer care much about investing in perfectionism. I no longer care if others approve or not. It's nice if they do; yet, it's definitely not imperative. I gotta be me!
