Hello Realworld: I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to Psych Central.

I'm not a mental health professional. So all I can offer is my personal opinion. However, the things you mentioned, with regard to your bf, could apply to many different mental health concerns besides schizophrenia or even to no diagnoseable mental illness at all... simply the sorts of things everyone deals with from time-to-time. So my suggestion would be, if your bf has a concern with regard to his mental health, he should seek the services of a mental health professional perhaps a mental health therapist or a psychologist who can determine if he does in fact have a diagnoseable mental illness & if so what it is & what is to be done about it.
