“If someone cares about you, they wont do things to disrespect you or upset you.”

I have a really hard time with this thought, too. If someone says they love you, they won’t do things that deeply hurt you.

Do they? Can we be wrong?

There is also the degree of the things they are doing that matter in this thought. Are our expectations of people too unrealistic? Are we too demanding with what is unacceptable?

In my case, I feel I am absolutely in line with simply needed the absolute minimum and not getting it. Is this the case with you?

Plus, I give chance after chance, then I still don’t end it. Do you really end it after one offense?
