they give you a numbing shot which hurts. They then cut along the side of the nail and permanently removing that part of the nail. they use a solution to kill the nail bed there so the nail doesn't grow back. It will be not as wide this way....but you will never have another ingrown toe nail again. This takes more work for the podiatrist. Don't let them just remove the whole nail.

Oh thank you so much for the info.

I will be just up front .... I love my pedicures and can’t imagine not have equal sized toe nails. Very few people would likely not even notice, but I sure would ! Hahaha

When I was working in medical many of my positions required business clothes and dreaded heels day in and out, pantyhose hose too ! In freaking Florida. Sadists I swear.

Now I wear mostly flat and boots so I don’t have chronic pain. I think I’ll hold off until they really come down do it.
