While this is a good idea in theory, there's no requirement, nor will we make one, that a member has to check these lists before using this feature. While I don't mind people posting their preference to one of these threads, such a preference shouldn't be mistaken for a requirement. Members are free to use or not use the mention feature at their discretion.
