I saw my pdoc yesterday and I had asked a bit more about people with BP becoming hypomanic/manic on Mirapex. She'd reiterated that it is critical they are also on a mood stabilizer when on Mirapex. I thought I'd pass this on to you , for whatever it is worth.
I hope you get over both your cold (?) and this mixed state soon.  |
Hi WC, I'm not on a mood stabilizer anymore. I was on Lamictal but I had to stop it after 4 years because it was damaging my liver.
My pdoc is being really aggressive with my depression with Latuda, Wellbutrin, and now Mirapex. I tried lithium but it didn't do anything for me.
I'll speak with her about some other mood stabilizer and see if she agrees if this keeps up.
I'm doing ok today. Still mixed but I'm managing. The cold is taking it's time in going away. I'm still coughing etc but no fever finally.
Also, I'm doing things around the house now, which I haven't done in a very long time.
I'm hoping this is just my brain getting used to Mirapex and that this will pass.
