Thank you! That makes sense! I had no idea where this all was headed, and what the actual Thanksgiving Day would look like online, but it's good to know what the tradition is. Yay!

I'm laughing because I do have a wild imagination, which makes me laugh at myself and my imagination. I daydream and dissociate easily, so sometimes I crack myself up with impossible ideas or fantasies. It helps me to deal with the pain of reality sometimes.

I suppose I'm avoiding the feelings affiliated with loneliness. I enjoy being alone, and I relax, watch movies, cook, clean, organize, and go online now to keep myself occupied. But the holidays are painful for me. Sometimes fantasizing about things gets me to laugh, even though it's totally not based in reality.

Then again, the dishes I listed might be doable for me to actually make on my own (or even share with neighbors). Hee hee. I'm also finding the dishes others speak about really yummy. I can plan in my head for next year and see what I can do to donate some dishes to the homeless or to other veterans in need. It will take me a year to plan though, so the ideas on this thread are awesome.

PS: I'm sorry if someone else normally starts the Thanksgiving thread. I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. If someone else wants to start a new thread, I'm totally okay with that, too. I just posed this question here to see what you all do, and I'm glad you actually do something every year for Thanksgiving (etc.?). That's awesome!
