By the way, nothing's happened to me online HERE in terms of cybercrimes, but I can see how easily it could escalate. In the distal past, I had a person stalking me, and I had to contact the authorities to report harassment. It ended quickly, but not before that person tried to damage me. I just don't ever ever EVER want that to happen to me again. And if it does, I will report it within the legal realms, that is, if it is justafiably a crime or unlawful (non-criminal) act.
That said, I do my best to abide by rules, and sometimes we make mistakes, but when I see certain people not abiding by rules, which I take to be my own personal boundaries as well, I will report (because I don't like engaging or enabling rule-breakers who continuously create problems and cannot control themselves).
I'm not perfect, and I know no one is, but when I see something problematic, I take it up the chain of command. And if it persists, I warn nicely, escalate my warnings if safe to do so, and finally contact authorities when I've exhausted all resources. Thankfully, I've not had to do that in over a decade. I don't want to have to do that again, but I take precautions. Having links at my fingertips, and sharing these protective factors with others - so as to help the community be aware of what they can do should it happen, or to hopefully serve as a deterrant, then yes, I will share these links for more than my own benefit.
