I liked the potato dumplings....we stayed in touristy spots and were there 3 nights. Getting back to the airport from our hotel was a night mere. Our lift driver did not speak any english and kept wanting to drop us off at the wrong location....finally using an english translator on our phones he dropped us off close enough we just walked the way to where we needed to be.

I remember you went to Prague. Yes, the Jewish section of Prague is a very unique section. Prague has the oldest synagogue and Jewish cemetery in Europe. It's lucky that they were not destroyed during WWII.
There are many types of dumplings made in CZ. Dumplings are called "knedliky" in Czech. There are even different preparations for potato dumplings. If you would like a recipe for the most common type of Czech potato dumplings, just let me know. I have made them a number of times. I believe they do require a special Czech flour to make, but there is a way to make up for that with a product available in most US grocery stores.
