That's really messed up. Whether or not you need the money is irrelevant. He has money that he should not have that is yours. When I have hit my out of pocket limit and there has been an overpayment, I am given the option of a refund or a credit to be used towards sessions.

He has now been paid by both you and your insurance. He should have used the money from insurance to pay you back. He should have used any funds he has to pay you back. You are not Bank of America. This is not ok and is an unethical business practice.

Do you think he's using this so you will stay with him given the ruptures due to his horrible behavior? He sounds so stupid. This is just more ammo if you wanted to report him. It's so inappropriate to hold your money hostage and even more so due to the context.

ETA - 2 or 3k?? Wow. What an ***. I bet he's just scared to tell his wife about his **** up and that he'll be withdrawing a large amount.
